About TradeCal

TradeCal is a free collection of trading calculators built specifically for Indian retail traders. It started with a simple problem: most "trading calculators" available online are built for the US market. They don't know about NSE lot sizes, F&O expiry conventions, or the tax structure that applies to Indian options traders.

The options profit calculator, for example, doesn't just show you gross P/L — it shows you the actual net P/L after deducting STT, exchange transaction charges, SEBI turnover fees, GST, stamp duty, and brokerage. This matters because many Indian retail traders have been caught by the STT exercise trap — holding an in-the-money option to expiry only to discover that the 0.125% STT levied on the full settlement value wiped out their entire profit. The calculator flags this before it happens.

The pivot point calculator supports Standard, Woodie, and Camarilla methods — all commonly used by Nifty and Bank Nifty intraday traders. Every level shows the percentage distance from the previous close, so you can immediately see which levels are realistically reachable in the current session.

The risk-reward calculator goes beyond just the ratio. It computes the exact position size you should trade to stay within the 1% or 2% risk rules — telling you "buy 208 shares, not 500" based on your actual capital. It also includes a trade expectancy slider so you can see whether your system is profitable over a large number of trades at different win rates.

TradeCal is built and maintained from Jaipur, Rajasthan. It is entirely free to use — no account, no subscription, no app to install. All calculations happen in your browser. We do not collect or store any trading data you enter.

More tools are in the works — a brokerage comparison, a futures margin calculator, multi-leg payoff charts. If there's something specific you're missing, the contact page goes straight to us.
