Nifty & Bank Nifty Pivot Points — Sunday, 24 May 2026

Monday morning, quick notes before the open. Friday's session was a tight one on Nifty — 132 point range is on the narrower side, and we closed near the highs at 24,031. Bank Nifty was more energetic with an 815 point range and a close at 55,293, also in the upper half of the day's range. So both indices went into the weekend with buyers having the slightly better hand, but nothing decisive.

For Nifty today, the level I'm watching most closely is the pivot at 24,003. Friday's close sits right above it, so as long as we hold that on any dip, the 24,083–24,134 zone (R1–R2) becomes the immediate test. Lose 24,003 and S1 at 23,951 is the first line — that's also where Friday's lows clustered. Below 23,920 you're effectively giving back the entire Friday range, and that's where I'd reassess.

Bank Nifty is the more interesting chart. R1 at 55,602 lines up almost exactly with Friday's high of 55,405 plus a bit of room — a clean breakout there opens up 55,911. On the downside, 54,787 (S1) is the level that matters; below that we're back into Thursday's territory. Not the cleanest setup for aggressive positional trades — I'd personally keep size small until we see how the first hour behaves, especially given the weekend gap risk in banks.
